2004 Expy 5.4L Dying
Hope I get some insight on where to go from here. Never had a problem with our Expy until 2 weeks ago was on the highway going up slight incline, increased throttle and no response and engine started to die. Worked the throttle a little and before it completely died it started going again...- painoz

Transmission types
All, As previously posted, transmission shot....60,000 miles. Have to replace. 2004 Expedition XLT 4x4 with 5.4L V8. I have the standard tow package. Is there a heavier duty transmission I should upgrade to? Not sure if there is more than one type for this model year. TIA.- painoz

2004 Expedition:Transmission Failure
2004 Ford Expedition XLT with 5.4L. Vehicle has 60,000 miles on it. Well maintained. Had no problems, then on trip from Washington to California for Christmas, we pull into get gas just outside of Bay area. Go to back up to pump and vehicle will not reverse normally...kind of jerked/jumped...- painoz
