Get behind the passengers side panel inside the trunk (this requires removing any trim that is around this one huge panel and the seatbelts for the 2nd and 3rd row). Unplug the subwoofer from the amplifier, stick the prongs of a multimeter inside the connector and see that the subwoofer reads 4...
does anyone know the offset of these rims? (pic below)
I'd like to get some different rims so it pushes the tire out about 1-1.5" without using spacers or adapters.

going to do a continuity check for the harness going into the tailgate, I have a hunch that the wires got broken from 13 years of opening and closing the tailgate.
small update, I traced the wires into the fuse box in the engine bay, turns out I had a loose connection there. So the high beams are functioning as should now. The rear wiper remains a mystery for now!
I've been through both fuseboxes with a fuse tester. I can't find any diagrams for the wiring for these harnesses anywhere, so I don't know how I would do any voltage tests.
Story time:
I found that the high beams and rear wiper on my 2001 Expy Eddie Bauer do not work. Being that the flash-to-pass high beams work (indicator on the dash lights up as well), and the rear washer works, I figured this might be a fuse/relay related issue. After checking all the fuses in...
I've had the same problem as you've mentioned and many of these tips worked. I took out the amp, found a blown transistor. Ended up getting an amp out of a 98 lincoln town car, and I caked the transistors in the "new" amp with CPU thermal paste for better heat dissipation into the casing of the...
I had these issues with my '01 Expedition. This is a fault from the factory and has not been addressed or recalled by Ford. The silicone/adhesive they used to glue the windshield in the factory dries out and shrinks if the car spends prolonged periods in the sun overtime. The only way to make...
Without the dimmer being in the all the way up and clicked position, none of the interior lights will work. The switches for the map lights simply don't do anything. When you roll the dimmer all the way up, only then the switches for the map lights turn them on and off. They don't respond to the...
Hello everyone!
I'm new to this forum, and two weeks since an owner of a 2001 Expedition Eddie Bauer 5.4.
I'm not sure if I'm simply not using it right, or there is an issue with it, but the little roll switch that dims the backlights for the entire dashboard has been giving me some issues...
