There is no cheap easy way, and the species and health of the tree makes a big difference. The worst I pulled was a slippery bark hickory. The stump was nearly 2 feet across, and even after I dug the entire root system out with a John Deere 310 backhoe I could not lift it straight out of the...
By the way...I have tried this. Chain snapped and dinged up my tailgate on my last Expy. It was only an 8 inch tree. Fortunately it missed the glass. I have also done this with an excavator, a D8 dozer and a backhoe. I prefer the D8.

Replaced plugs and COPs @123,500 miles on my 2010. I had the dealer do my 2006 because of the plug's reputation for breaking. These were a cinch.
I also changed the oil. I used 5w-30 on FordTechMakuloco's recommendation. I was having trouble with the engine stumbling when I needed to pass...
Check out the Air Lift 1000 from SD Truck Springs. I have a 2010 Expedition, but I added it to my 2016 Grand Caravan to use it for a work van hauling tools and trailers. After a year of use I could not be happier. They let me carry lots of extra weight and keep it level by adding air at the...
Drove the family two hours away to a festival. We had to park in a field that had been rained on the night before (jackpot!!!). The drive lane had a few inches of slimy mud, and they were directing all the 4x4's that way. I took it in 2-wheel and started to spin. At first I heard the...
Congratulations. I have the WeatherTech middle and rear, but yours cover more of the edges. Yours also look like more likely to lay flat in the corners. I was disappointed at how stiff and thin my WeatherTechs are. I want something thick, supple, and deep enough to hold 20 ounces of water on...
2010 Eddie Bauer with 80,000 miles. Bought in February 2015 with 62,000 miles. I have had a blend door actuator go bad...the worst one in the center that requires removal of the dash. I had the transmission software updated. I had an A/C repair.
All of this was covered under a CPO.
The...
My guess is that this is normal to prevent stalling as would happen with a clutch. In WV I use the Tow/Haul mode for windy, hilly roads 45 mph or less. This really reduces shifting and braking, and it automatically shuts off when I shut the truck off.

Last update on this repair:
The purge valve must have been going bad for awhile. It runs smoother than when I bought it in February. I finally filled the tank again last evening, and it started normally (much to the dismay of my 12-year-old son).
I hope these notes help someone else.

I had a 2006 that did the same thing. I traded it rather than fix it after having a dealership diagnose it. They were convinced that it was a COP, but I argued that the COPs misfired after it warmed up when they were starting to go bad. My research led me to believe it was a leak in the intake...
I spent Sunday on the road again and filled the tank. It took several tries to get the thing started again. I took it today for the new purge valve. On the three mile trip home it seemed smoother than ever. It took several highway miles to rebuild pressure after they just diagnosed it a...
It is a blend door actuator. There are more than one. I had two replaced on my 2010 this year. The one you are talking about required removing the dash on the 2010. I hope that the 08 is not the same. I had the dealer do mine under warranty.

Today I spent another hour and a half on the highway, and the purge issue returned. Scheduled to install the part on Tuesday.

It may help to make your phone the primary, but I have done that and it still connects either to my wife's or goes straight to line in much of the time.

Make sure that her bluetooth is off or out of range. Hit menu, then the Seek> twice to see Select SRC. Hit OK. Hit Seek> again then OK to select BT Audio.
I do this a lot.

I took a three hour trip this weekend through West Virginia hills, and I wanted to report the result of the transmission update. In the past, I would start up a hill at 70 and either have to really push the gas or wait until the RPM's dropped to get a down shift. Then there was a too long lag...
I had the Michelin M/S2 on my 06, on my 2010 came from the dealer with new General Grabber HTS. I cannot hear or feel a difference from inside. I drove the Michelin's through up to 8 inches of fresh wet snow on one of the driveways we West Virginians carve in the side of a hill, then around...
