    Drivers Seat Heater

Anyone? It's annoying to have a feature in a vehicle that doesn't work, when you "really" want it. Just glad that the Mrs.' side is working, or I'd never hear the end of it. Thanks, Allan

    Drivers Seat Heater

I have an '07 EB EL with a non-functional drivers seat heater. In doing a forum search, my problem seems to be different than most. I've read where others have the lights at the heater switch go out after some number of seconds of turning the switch on. My indicator lights come on and stay on...

    towing with 2001 EB

Along with the above variables, different years (generations) of the Expedition have different tow capacities. Make sure you are looking at the info for your year. Also, if I understand your question about the adapter correctly, you are looking for something like this...

4pin and 7pin trailer wiring, sanity check me!!

Your thinking is right. I have both a 7-Way and a 4-Way mounted on the Expy to work with different trailers. Your approach is to do the same thing, but on the Trailer instead, to work with different vehicles. Allan

Instrument cluster lights not working, blowing fuses

If a bulb in the cluster shorted out, it will keep blowing fuses. Pull the cluster and pull all the bulbs. Install a new fuse and reinstall one bulb at a time until you find the one that blows the fuse.

    High rpm's cause voltage drop

1998 Ford Expedition EB, 5.4L V8, with about 136K miles on it. Symptom; When I rev the truck past about 3000rpm, my voltage (as indicated by the voltmeter gauge on the dash) drops significantly and the Battery light comes on. At night, my headlights will actually go dim when the voltage drops...

    my expedition stranded me today...

I had a car that did the same type of thing to the fuel tank. It was a brand new car, but would cavitate the fuel tank and leave me stranded, because I thought I still had 1/4 tank of fuel. This happened a couple of times in which the dealer would install a new tank (under warranty) and send me...

    Brake Line Routing Diagram?

Does anyone have a diagram for the brake line routing, specifically around the left rear wheel. My pedal went to the floor and I found a pinhole leak at a junction block right above the trailing arm. What confuses me is that the line runs from the junction block up and over the top of the...

Check your rear lower control arms!

My '98 Expy has failed annual inspection due to lower trailing arm being rusted through. Has anyone installed the "MTC 30192" arms? Cost is pretty low compared to others, so not sure of quality. Can't afford to spend too much, but need to replace these quickly, in order to get through...

No modifications as of yet. Have already bought a few items to install once the weather gets a little warmer. Replacement Subwoofer for the Mach Stereo, Backup Camera, Driving Lights, etc... Right now, new tires and fixing the sunroof are high on the list for spring weather. Allan

    '98 EB "Perimeter Anti-Theft System"

Here are a few pictures of the alarm system. I do not have a separate key fob. This "really" appears to be a factory item, even if dealer installed. A couple of additional comments. 1. I have turned the white knob on the sensor and it had no affect. I don't know what the knob is for. 2. I...

    '98 EB "Perimeter Anti-Theft System"

My understanding is that this unit is in addition to the PATS. I have a small red light (which flashes) that is mounted on the dash near the steering column and there is a small box mounted under the dash near my left knee, which I think might be the vibration detector. The small box has wiring...

    '98 EB "Perimeter Anti-Theft System"

All, Is there a way to disable the Perimeter Anti-Theft System (or at least the motion/vibration portion) without disabling the Starter? The motion/vibration sensor on the Anti-Theft is "WAY" too sensitive and the alarm goes off every time a loud car or motorcycle goes down the street. I...

Hello All, Been reading various posts for the last few months and decided to join the Forum. Bought a '98 Eddie Bauer back in May'13 and have been really happy with it. Have put about 10K miles on it so far. Allan
