    I've been towing with a 5.4 for a few years. About 4500 lb trailer. Just a few suggestions, to with Overdrive off. Add a trans cooler if you dont have one already. Be sure to do a complete trans fluid change at some point soon. Just get in the right lane on the hills....:D I didn't buy the 4.6...

    My wife was driving the 2006 when the limp home mode happened. Of course it freaked her out. She shut it off, waited a few, and then it started and got her home just fine. No check engine light ever came on. I ran the diagnostic tool and got no faults recorded. But, there are 4 pending faults...

    so it was 400 for the plug replacement. 4 cylinders had junk in them. No charge for the removal of that. But 900 to put everything back together with new gaskets and a cooling system flush...painful. Then the next night on a road trip another coil failed. WTF. Had to get one to replace it right...

    this dealer charges $400 no matter how many plugs break off. But in my case I am not sure what the bill will be. I screwed up by not using them in the first place, I know that. It will go there again after 50,000 more miles and get it done next time. Just to be safe it ' s well worth the 400.

    It just got towed to the Ford dealer. They said bring it on, no problem. My guy gave up. I am paying for the tow and he ate the other cost including the set of plugs. I told him to stick a shop vac with a small hose taped to it in the hole and give that a try, but they suggested the dealer...

    My tech was replacing the plugs and all of them broke. He knows what he is doing or at least I think he does been going there for many years. One plug part fell in to the cylinder and he is trying to get it out, says he will have to remove the intake to do it. Holy crap when does this end...

    Glad I saw this post. I had he same exact issue today. Stalled at a light and rolled into a very busy intersection in limp mode on restart. I found the "pending codes" as I happened to have my code reader plugged in when it happened. Same P2104 and 2112. Will buy an air filter and use MAF...

    gotcha, I got some great directions from etrailer. They show just which wires to splice . I bought a 4 way to 7 way adapter from them. They are great for hitches and all that stuff.

    Rear camera install

    My 2006, new to me...came with a DUAL Stereo, touch screen and a bckup camera over the license plate. The camera is not working though the reverse sensor is .. what should I troubleshoot? The power hook up? Seems like it goes up through the tailgate somewhere.

    Got the harness from Amazon today, it plugged right in under the OBD port. I have yet to crawl under the rear to check out the trailer hook up, but will soon. Great truck!

    I just got a 2006 Expy XLT. Great truck. Has a hitch but not the tow package I guess as it only has a 4 pin trailer connector. I need to wire up a 6 pin round connector. I can get a converter for the 4 pin but it also needs the power for the brakes. Where do you tap that? I have the...
