i have a 2002 expedition 5.4 Eddie Bauer. I bought it a year ago and was just looking at possibly replacing tires. The tires on it right now are 255/75/17. When I look online this does not come up as a stock size anywhere. I’m assuming it was originally 265/70/17 and the previous owner changed...
I have 12v going in and out of fuse 7 so I'm assuming I have an issue according to the diagrams with the wire feeding from there to rear relay. Does this wire run straight from fuse block to the back? And also it looks like there is a connection somewhere between the fuse and relay. Do you know...
Both fuses are good I double checked them again today. Front works fine. Also checking the plug for the switch in front console for rear. The gr/w wire is only one with power
I did some more troubleshooting last night. I have power all the way to the rear blower relay behind the panel but not getting anything at resistor or blower plugs. There are no other connections in between and not seeing any shorts on wiring and I tried changing the relay as well
I did notice when I pulled the main climate control unit out that it looks like it has 6 connections for vacuum hoses but only 5 are plugged in but when I look I don't see any that look to be unplugged and the 5 that are plugged in are all tied together like they are the only ones that should be.
I grabbed a drill battery and jumpered the power to the blower and the blower does work. Any idea on what else it could be? I can't see anything unplugged at the main unit or the controls
On mine I popped the cover off the childlock switch and sprayed some silicone spray in there while toggling the switch back and forth and I was good. Seems the mechanism gets locked up
On them sometimes
I pulled out the dash area by the radio and I don't see anything that seems to be unplugged. I'm not sure what the readings at the rear resistor should be but I'm assuming that if there is continuity I would be getting something. Is there a way to test if I'm getting power to the resistor plug...
Fuse 7 and 14 tested ok.fuse 111 and 114 are maxi fuses and I don't see test points on them, but they don't look burned out. I also saw an earlier thread showing how to check the resistor. I have continuity on the rear resistor. Around 3.5 ohms on each test. I also tried the jump test for the...
Don't think I could read wiring diagrams. I'll bring tester home tomorrow. I see where the blower motor and resistor is in the back left panel is there another one to check as well. And what else do I need to check. Is there anything up front?
The guy who did ball joints for me tested fuses. Said they were all good. I do have the owners manual and I tried all positions on the front main. There seems to be no power at all to rear nothing to blower on the floor or top vents. I can grab my fluke meter from from work tomorrow. I was...
just bought a 2002 Eddie Bauer with climate control and rear ac and heat from a guy I work wth. He said that when his friend installed a new radio the rear heat and ac stopped working. I have checked all fuses and they are all good. Is there something behind dash near the radio that would kill...
