Cluster died in my 06. No windows, radio, dome lights etc.

Brought it in to a local speedo shop and they said it can’t be saved so I need to find a replacement. Is this a direct swap or will I need to have things reprogrammed?

The cluster has to be reprogrammed as I believe it holds the odometer mileage. There may be other ways to do this, but I dunno.

Here's what the service manual has:
Prior to removal of the module, it is necessary to upload module configuration information to the diagnostic tool. This information needs to be downloaded into the new module once installed.
Once the new module is installed, it is necessary to download the module configuration information from the diagnostic tool into the new module.
