07 Eddie Bauer running board removal

i just bought a 2007 with the factory running boards. I like the look without them. I have seen some without but it looks like they have some sort of trim piece that would not be on mine if I removed them. Am I correct in that assumption? Thanks for the help. This is my first post look foreword to being part of the forums.

No trim piece that I'm aware of.

I was thinking about something like the white one in the picture. Looks like some trim or something in the place of the running boards...

I think what you're seeing there is the factory power running board option. When you open the door those fold down into a step.

Ahh ok. I have never seen the power steps in action. Just the ones I had seen around that didn't have the running boards had that piece so I wasn't sure. Thanks.
