I have a 2000, 5.4, XLT. This vehicle was purchased at a municipal auction.
It was a former Police vehicle. I have a Clarion CD Changer (factory, out of a 1997 explorer) that I got from a friend. My factory head unit has all the controls for the CD Changer that mounts in the center console.
I have a wire harness that runs under the center console.
One plug goes to the "radio functions" on the back of the center console.
then I have two other plugs...
one plug has these wires: blue/red stripe, Green/black stripe, Purple/orange stripe and Black/ light blue stripe.
other plug has: Green/ light green stripe, fat Orange, red/ pink stripe, Blue/ white stripe and a blueish-greenish/ light blue stripe....
I'm assuming one of these plugs would connect to the rear heat controls. and one would go to the CD changer...
Anybody have any ideas?
FYI, Neither of the plugs have the length to reach to where the CD changer would mount. My center console was all cut up from the police department.
