1997 Gen 1 Timing Chain Rpeplace

Anyone replaced the timing chains on a 1997 5.4L Gen 1? Words of wisdom or warnings? Thanks. Truck is misfiring badly and throwing codes for Misfire cylinder 123and7. Changed coil wites and plugs, egr is good today my brother noticed when stnding beside the motor with hood up when I turned the yruck off he heard what he desribed as "it sounds like the is marbles hnder the valve cover on passenger side" when the motor winded down. Thanks for any input.

Timing never goes out on those things. Never. How many miles on the engine?

You may have a much more serious problem, or you may just need to change the coil packs.
