I did watch the video and also 2 other videos about making the repairs. There was one that shows how to replace the ends with a metal fitting which to me would be a much better repair than using a ty-wrap.
The reason for my question was to see if you did the repair as the video suggested or if you used some other method

Hi,

Sorry late reply long day. OK so I used cable/zip ties to increase the tension on the broken cable as seen in the video.

YouTube is my best friend in repairing things. From computer repairs and upgrades to easy car repairs hard repairs go to the shop.
