2004 Expedition 5.4 Bell housing knock

I have a 2004 expedition 5.4 with a strong knock coming from the bell housing.

Only Knocked in park at first and rarely. Now today it's even knocking as I come to a stop.

Cracked fly wheel? Or pump itself?

Usually a cracked flexplate. Once it fails completely you may be stuck, or it will lock in place and make one hell of a racket.

Could be loose torque converter bolts. Pull the starter and look

It was The flex plate. Cracked 90% of the way around the center. Thanks!

I have the same issue with mine but I have already replaced one. A month ago ND now it's doing it again. Why am I having this issue? It's driving me insane. I bought it with this noise fixed it all new parts bolts, flex plate, ND now again the second time.

I would expect the dowel pins are missing and no one noticed in the past.
