2012 factory remote start question

I have a 2012 expedition with factory remote start. Is there any way to bypass the fact that the engine dies when a door is opened ? I would like it to operate more like an aftermarket system that continues to run until you actually turn the ignition on. Thanks.

I know it says 2011, but I figured it's close enough since it's the same generation.
