7 way and brake controller

ok guys i got a 2000 expedition with out the trailer package but i am getting ready to put it on there and i had a few questions

on the 7 way there is a 12v power did you guys that have done this just go off the battery and run a wire and put a inline fuse in the wire

what kindof back controller did you guys use and where did you place it

there are 2 different 7 ways i am looking at the one has a 4 way flat and the seven way and the other one dont which one should i use i was thinking about the one with the 4 way flat so i didnt have to buy adapators

well i was looking this weekend and i think i found all the stuff i am going to use for my trailer towing package it looks like i have got to run a few wire to make it all work but it will be a good setup will post the parts and how i did it later when i get it all bought and start to install it for all you that dont have the trailer package yet and the setup i am looking at is good for a 1000 pound tounge weight and a 10000 trailer weight but i aint going to push the truck that hard and do any of you guys have a tranny cooler on your trucks that tow alot

yes i am going to be running a aftermarket tranny cooler and i will be towing a 20 foot boat, a 29 foot trailer trailer and a car trailer but nothing will weight over 8500 pounds so i shouldnt have a problem pulling any of those things

on the door sticker thie is a axle code likr 34 it will be at the bottem of the sticker

i will check on the tag but mine should be good to pull up to the 7800 one on the list and i dont thjink i would want to push it much more then that
