Anyone out there have pictures and steps on how to change out the control box that moves the little door from AC to heat that is under the dash on a 1999 Ford Expedition? Went to the dealer last year to get it replaced, and they gave it back to us working (front AC and heat would come on). They said all it was was a knob on the dash that controled weither you wanted hot or cold. Now six months later its doing it againg the AC work sometimes (well it is Fall now) but the heat/defrost wont work. Our rear heat and AC in the Expedition work fine and always has. Please help and thank you in advance.

When you put it in defrost, does it blow any air, even if set to cold? Or does it still blow air, just not cold.

Do you get any heat in any of the settings (floor, dash, combo)? Do you only get cold air in these same settings?

Just to you clear, you're talking about the little actuator that determines temperature control, right? I have instructions for getting to it, though it seems a little involved. Eleven steps total.

vent type air on all settings

On any setting floor, dash, and combo it blows air like vent air. Defrost just blows air as well set to either cold or hot. Yes, we are talking about the actuator box.
