Air Cleaner Question

OK folks, short of a complete new K&N system or symilar set up, does anyone have a home grown air cleaner set up with the MAS set to keep reading and adjusting the computer? I know there is a direct K&N drop in replacement filter available for the stock set up, but wondered if anyone out there had any suggestions. I have a 98 5.4-145 on the ticker.....Gotta breathe in and out. Already removed all cats, still hasent flagged a code and running good...

Gotts mod and paper filter.
You could not make me use a K&N on my Expy! Oiled filters are just asking for a fouled MAF...

Also, some folks have done an intake silencer delete. Not exactly sure if it makes a difference or not.
