Any danger in forcing downshifts? Or lugging engine?

I don't let it lug, I like it above 2 and 2.5 rpm sometimes. I am not sure about efficiency but I typically try to keep the boost down and the revs up while towing. I do know this helps temp with tranny and engine. I tow in some of the harshest grades.

I have a 2012 with 5.4L. Shocked how well it pulls uphill in Tow Mode (Kawasaki Mule Pro-MX on single axle 14 foot trailer). Had seen a spec years ago that 85% of it's torque is very low in the rpm range (forgot the exact number, 1500rpm, maybe?). I also notice that oil pressure remains high at low rpm and temp gauge stays locked in the middle, all without heavy duty tow package.
