Haven't been posted in a while. The Expedition has been doing great. My buddy and I put new Bilstein shocks in the rear the weekend before the 4th. It towed great to and from Az.

Then on Monday I was making a run to 7-11 at lunch and some ******** in a Honda Civic decided to run a red light. She bounced off the car next to me and plowed into my front bumper. She hit me hard enough to push me sideways and my head hit the side window. The prognosis isn't good. It needs a new frame. It's looking like it's going to be totaled.

Unfortunately the insurance company didn't agree. I got the notice of total loss this evening.

The 24's came with the truck. So I don't have the stockers. I've already been advised not to take the first offer.

The biggest ***** about it is I paid it off a couple months ago.

I can relate. Less than 2 months after we paid off my wife's Mazda, my mom plowed into it doing about 30mph in reverse while backing out of our driveway. $3K to repair. Then in April (6 months later) my wife was nailed on her way home from work and it was totaled.

That's what we did with the Mazda. They were going to give us ~$9K and quoted a salvage value of $2K. I walked away with $7600 and the car (with a clean title). In our case, however, the car had no frame damage.

There are parts on the truck I'd like to have. But I have no where to store it while I part it out.

I ended up getting a decent amount for my Expy. After some talking with the wife she said it was time to get something new. And I've been wanting a truck forever. So last night we bought this:

It's our first new vehicle. And I should no longer have to worry about towing anything.
