blend door actuator?

my 04 has no cool air vent function. I can only get cool/cold air if I go to MAX A/C (recirc mode) has anyone attempted to remove dash unit to access the blend door for repair? want to get an idea how much time it takes?

If it is anything like the first gens your looking at 6-8 hours depending on your abilities and tools.

that's what I figured. my biggest worry is that after everything is buttoned back up I will have more squeaks and rattles, things are never the same once you remove that many dash components.
