Whaaat? Really? I have an '08 XLT with factory stereo and was trying to figure this out. When I press the phone/mute button it says "NO PHONE". It does NOT mute anything (I tried) and I assumed it was because I hadn't paired it with my phone yet. Why would it complain about not having a phone if it can't have one? I think it must...

The only thing i can think of is maybe it has an input in the back of the radio or someplace that you can plug into. That button was always mute on my older fords prior to even having aux inputs. As far as bluetooth goes though, it wasnt an option until 2009.

I ordered the unit from eBay for $135 and will update this post with my impressions once it's installed!
