Yea, if I have to tear into this 5.4 I probably will spend a little more on "improved" parts. Oil pressure is important for longevity and mine looks like it has plenty at 138K miles ……..so far.

Agreed. Mine is almost exactly at the same mileage too.

is there a way to get to the lifters “lash adjusters” without removing the cams

So there are tools made to do this, but you still have to remove the valve covers and position the cam so the the piston is at the correct position. Why do you ask?
