catalytic converter

My right side cat is plugged/melted . Has anyone used a aftermarket converter with success including keeping the check engine light off ?

front or rear?... if rears just use some pipe and do a rear cat delete...

Question is what caused it? Fuel injector? I had that happen to me, and it caused the front right bank cat to spit up a code. Put in the new injector and I am driving the car for now and not replacing the cat. Ford wants over $1000, and you can get an aftermarket Walker for anywhere from $300-$500. Doug
