Hello,

I have a 99 Expedition that has developed a coolant leak on the rear driver's side. When I look underneath the vehicle behind the rear driver's side wheel, I can see coolant leaking from an open hose. I can also smell antifreeze inside the vehicle and occasionally there is steam coming out of the vents. I've read the horror stories about replacing a leaking heater core, but am not sure if this is the actual problem. I would also like a much simpler fix if possible. I live in the Phoenix, AZ area so at this time of year, heat is not a huge necessity. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Rear core leaking. Take about an hour or so to replace. Go have ac evacuated or you will lose your freon.
