This happened. Was told when started the bolt ended up getting up in exhaust valve leaving it hung open? Does this mean the heads r ruined or whole engine?

I didn't do it a shop did I swear. It has aftermarket heads I'm wantin to buy them to build an engine. They r super cheap just wondering if that would wipe out a lobe on cam. I know nothing about overhead cams

Perhaps you should explain what you are talking about in a bit more detail.

So this didn't happen to your truck?

usually the valve will hang and the rocker arm comes off, maybe bending the valve. you will need to check the chamber for damage and also make sure the valve seat is ok.
