Drivers Seat does not go forward when key is put in ignition

My seat was not moving very far forward or back. I checked tracks and could not find anything in the tracks or other blockages. I took it to dealer and they said it looked like seat track was not working properly and was 1200 for a new one. Now however the seat seems to have full range forward and back, but the memory to return to original position when key is inserted is not working. When key is removed the seat does slide back. Any thoughts.

Try resetting the seat memory.. move it all the way back, down, & level, then set for the number driver you are, then insert key, start it, shut it off, then set it to your own settings and try it again.
