Had a 40 series muffler put on last night and just did the Gotts Mod with K&N drop in filter this morning what a difference in sound and power. Love this forum for hooking it up on the part # needed to do a cheap effective intake to pair with my exhaust.

Is there really any difference between doing the Gotts mod and K&N drop in filter compared to a K&N CAI? I have a 12 EL and have done both and seen no noticeable difference except for sound. I am not impressed with the fit and finish of the K&N CAI so I am just running the Gotts setup listed above. Most interested in a little MPG improvement. Any thoughts?

I think there is a boost in mpg, just drove 510 miles avg 80 mph on slightly over 1 tank. With the exhaust on first I def felt a slight difference in power delivery once I did the intake mod. Don't know if it gained in actual power but as stated was def smoother and for the cost I'm extremely happy
