Hard starting

I have a 99 EB with a 5.4, lately it's starting hard when the engine is hot, after a cool down it starts right up.

Need more info to start the diagnosing process: mileage, when was the last tune up, cranking speed when hot(slower than cold?) etc.

It has 148,000 miles and it's been about 7 or 8 thousand since the last tune-up. Cranking speed is the same hot or cold. Runs great down the road! Bad fuel pump??
