How do I remove roof luggage rack cross members on a 2000 expy E.B??

Hey all,

I'm looking to remove the cross bars on my luggage rack, leaving the tracks in. Doing this to make some extra room for a lightbar I bought, but I've got a moonroof so I gotta get those cross bars out of there. Anything to unscrew? Any special tools needed? How did you do it?

If it's like every other SUV I've owned just a screwdriver some similar so you can use the levarage to turn the plastic nobs. My little fingers werent strong enough to move them.
