Hmm... that doesn't usually bode well. Hopefully they just had an off day.

That's one of the reasons I bought the hyper tech, they have free Internet updates. Actually, auto anything did not even offer the hyper tech for a 2011, but I went to the hyper tech website and it was the same model number so I ordered a unit for a 2010, got it, update, and done.

I like what the hypertech has to offer. They don't offer one for the 2012 but they do offer one for the 2011 on their website. Going to ask Hypertech if they plan on making one for the 2012 or if the 2011 model will work on the 2012.

I emailed Hypertech about the Max Energy Power Programmer for the 2012 and this was their response:

"We will eventually but no word as to when at this time. We will not know the availability for a new application until a week or so prior to the release. I've entered your contact information so you'll be notified once ready. Thanks"

Does anyone know if I can fit 305/55 R20 without any rubbing?

The width is fine (I run 305 40 22)....but you have width and height there......that tire is 1.25" wider AND 1.5 inches more in diameter. My guess is at compression it will rub bad without a lift.

Ah, good point.

If you're not rubbing on 305/40-22 then 305/50-20 should not rub either. The 305/50-20 is about 2/5" taller according to a wheel and tire fitment calculator I found.

Alright... I was originally going to go with 285/55-20 but after breaking out the calculator and doing more math this evening than I've done in the last 10 years I've decided to go with the Nitto Terra Grappler AT in 305/50-20. I used 2 different tire and wheel calculators and according to both of them the 305/50-20 will be 1/3" shorter than the 285/55-20. I can live with that in exchange for a wider tire.

These are the 2 tire and wheel calculators I used to help make my decision:

DML Tire and Wheel Calculator

Rims n Tires
(This one works best in IE)

I have the 285/55 r20 on my Expy on stock King Ranch rims, they are pretty wide, I will try to post a front view pic for you today. I bought the truck as a demo and it came with them and they are pretty wide and I think the height is perfect.
