I know this isn't my thread but update on my situation:
I went to have the 4 back spark plugs changed for $150. The guy calls me down there & shows me the rubber boot from the coil over plug is jammed in #4.
He says he has to take out the whole gasket or whatever to get to it, but says if I can get the boot out myself he wont charge me to take out that part.
I struggled all night, 4 hours & busted up hands later and nothing accomplished.
Now I have to pay him an additional $150 just to take that part out.
Total spark plug job cost: $280 =(
He says he's doing me a huge favor with this cost because he could be making a lot more off of other jobs. ugghh..
