Looking for some info on Upgrading the Stock subwoofer

I just purchased a 2003 XLT and was wondering how to upgrade the stock subwoofer. Or is it even worth it?
Also im wondering if theres a harness i can buy so i can pull remote and sound wires from the stock sub and amp to a new subwoofer box and amp.
If you can plz help

from what they say...people are doing it and are happy...anything from stealth boxes to custom...not sure about theharness...i would imagine best thing would be buying an independant amp to hook itup too...i believe its only a 60 watt factory amp

I have an amp and subs i just dont want to have to run wires all the way back from the dash. I was hoping to tap into something back there for atleast audio,remote and ground. I just havent a clue. I just bought this truck and dont wanna tare into it blind yea know

i have a RCA jack converter that i split to the speaker wires from the sub to the factory amp...hooked up my RCA for my REAL amp and installed everything as normal...i'll take pics and post
