Hello everyone, Im new here and this thing has me baffled.. either someone is trying to rip me off to purchase my engine.. or someone is lying too me.. any ideas what the problem could be.. Hoping some fellow expedition owners can help me out here..
Ok this is my only vehicle Im a single mom and try and do most work to my truck myself.. However.. I LOVE my EXPO.. its mine and my teens kids only ride at the moment.. I just want it fixed and running right as long as i stay at 45mph or less she runs wonderful..
This truck for some reason is chugging at speeds above 45mph. then after about 60 it smooths out :/
I had it to several shops one said Tranny issue one said its old piece of junk (shit).. one said well its a FORD…. its my Baby…
Now I have had chevy it caught fire parked in my yard…2 Dodges-Tranny and engine, and electrical issues.. I love my EXPO…
Its a Ex Police Canine Cruiser, 5.4 with 179875 miles… only thing I have needed to replaced is steering column shift assembly…. battery… tires.. and the main fuse link on back firewall, and upgraded the radio….
I understand its old.. I understand it could be Tranny issue or fuel, or spark at high speed?? question is how to figure out if it is, which one.. Funny thing when we changed the spark plugs a while ago it seemed to have went away for about a week then it came back.. I have been driving it like this for about 2-3 yrs but not long distances.. maybe to store and home..
any help would be great..
