This post reminds me of a task at hand and is overdue. First can't offer any advice on the plate cover.
We have some perps that like to steal license plates of cars 'in good standing' and they place their bad plate on your truck. You typically get pulled over on a felony type stop, guns drawn, likely not fun, and some explaining to do. I need to get some security screws (you know the ones with the pin in the middle, so no regular screwdriver/hex head can remove), so it will be a deterrent to someone trying to swap plates. Jerks.
