Just picked up my 2000 EB 5.4L Expedition...

NEEDS new trailing arms... not broken, but they're toast and going to break any day...

Got the HAynes manual... covers 1995-2014 Expy's...

But in rear suspension section, the earliest model listed there is 2003 with torque specs...
my model is covered in front suspension section, but no mention of 2000 year or range that includes 2000 in the rear trailing arms sections...

Does this mean I don't need to torque it to spec, just tighten as much as possible? OR should I default to the 2003 settings as it's the earliest model listed that's closest? One of them is spec'd to 295 for the '03, and I don't want to over tighten and snap these old bolts...

Just hoping and praying I can get some advice on here as I am trying to get this done this weekend...

Thanks in advance for any help!

Welcome to the forum

Burn the Haynes manual Get a Ford Factory Service Manual on DVD which would be specific to your year and model. Not a cheap generic book.

Oh thank god I asked... 295 would have been insane compared to 127.... @Bedrck47 Thank you thank you!
I will have to look into the factory service manual moving forward... today I just need to start getting in there to try and get this all done before Monday! :)

You said you have a DVD? I usually like to have the book to flip through or have on hand, etc.
Is there a way to get a factory service manual that is physical/tactile?
The digital one sounds awesome, but I've always hated digital text books etc... :/
