I am not home, and need to buy a socket for both the coil pack and possibly spark plug. Got a serious misfire on cyl 8. I want to swap coil packs with 7, and see if it migrates, or stays. Is the coil pack bolt a 8mm? Spark plug a 9/16? I need 2 short 3/8 extensions for the plug as I remember on 8, as you can't get a long one in there, is that right? I would limp it home, but we have our camper with us, and this sucks trying to get anywhere....

If it’s been updated to the SP546 it’s gonna be a 9/16, swivel is a big help. If it’s the old SP 515 it’s a 5/8.

I bought one of those fancy 5/8 Gearwrench sockets just for mine. Went to put the new plugs in and they were 9/16. Never saw a 9/16 plug before in my life. Just trying to warn you in case you have to buy. Your future is the 9/16 socket.

8 mm or 5/16 will do your coils.

It's the old 2 valve, doesn't have the 2 piece plug like on 3 valves. I tried a 5/16 and that isn't right, and its bigger than 3/8... So 6 7 or 8mm??

xp 103 and ap 103 is 5/8.
I thought COP bolts were 7mm. But a 5/16 probably won't slip too much.

It was a 7mm for the coil pack, and a 5/8 for the plug. Wasn't an easy job, but wasn't terrible either, would of been nice to be home with my tools and lights and stuff. But. Its running right again!
