So when I turn my key to start the truck it makes a loud grinding sound. Then I wiggle the automatic shifting lever on the steering column to make sure that it is fully in park. After that I turn the key again and the car usually starts right up.
What is happening here and how can I fix it??
Thanks.

If I go to a Ford dealer and ask them about which vehicles were affected by the recall they will have the answer? And if my truck was included in this, would they pay for it and fix it for me?
