This Veepeak dongle can also access other modules so it works on hybrids with software made to access the additional components. I use it with Dr. Prius on a 2009 Prius.

If you're going to work on 1995-2004 vehicles (and some 1994) you need OBD2 support. A lot of the newer ones only suppot CAN, which was on some models in 2004. Some 1994 vehicles had OBD2. I have two BlueTooth CAN only dongles that have OBD2 on their labels. They do work on my 07 Expedition.
