PO461 CEL code

I have a PO461 CEL code on my 2010 Expedition EL Limited that keeps returning after clear. It says that this is an indication of fuel level exceeds fuel capacity of the vehicle. I am not showing any variance in my fuel level as far as the gauge goes. Do I need to replace the pump/sending unit to fix this or is there something else that gives this indication?
