Problems changing spark plug

I'm changing out the plugs and coils on my 97 5.4L. I pulled the first coil and found the plug socket is full of a white powdery gunk to the point that I can't get a wrench on the plug.

Any of you run into this? Is there something that might dissolve this so I can remove the plug?

Blow it out with compressed air and dissolve the remainder with carb cleaner.
