Hello all, I've been experiencing hesitation under light load primarily at speeds of 45-55. I've been told that there is a rear speed sensor that needs replacing. In addition, I'm getting DTC 0300, 0308. I know I need to replace coils, but is it possible that both the rear speed sensor and coils are acting up simultaneously? Where is this sensor located? I have a 2003 XLT 4.6.

Do you have an ABS or traction control light on? Just wondering why you are looking at the sensor.
Either way it would be just coincidence that the misfires occurred at the same time it wouldn't be related

No ABS or traction control light on. I was told this by a mechanic. I suppose he assumed the hesitation was due to the sensor. I've since replaced the two suspect coils and the symptoms have been eliminated. Thanks for your prompt reply.
