Remote key fobs all stopped working; can't program them; door code too

I was charging the A/C in the Expy yesterday and suddenly the key fobs all stopped working. I had just programmed 4 of them the day before. It won't go into programming mode, and the code on the door doesn't work either. I tried pulling the battery negative cable for 15 minutes or so, but it still isn't working. Any helpful suggestions besides taking it to the dealer or selling it?

It's a 1999 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 5.4 4WD.

It turned out to be the #5 fuse wasn't fully seated.
