How do I reset the meter on my truck's roof that reads the average MPG???
I would really like to see what I'm getting these days.

By roof I mean the digital meter on the inside of the truck's cabin that hangs from the roof. It also reads direction, real-time MPG, and miles to empty.
Thanks.

Doesn't it update continually. Either way, it would be much better to calculate your mileage by hand. The on-board MPG things are always optimistic.

Go to the milage display and hold both buttons down until it resets. Or the one, just hold it down until it resets.

I'll try the reset tomorrow when I'm working on the car. Thanks for the input. I'm also going to continue to keep track by hand, but I wanted to see what the car's computer thought. I'm curious as to how accurate it is.

If pressing down both buttons doesnt work, just disconnect the negative battery lead.
