Roof rack

Just bought a 2015 limited EL. Got a leak in the rear headliner area. The middle trim panel is broken, so I assume they knew about this. Thinking maybe roof rack leak.

Question: How do I remove the cap on the rear of the roof rack and seal the bolts?

Can't help with sealing the bolts, but can compliment your wheels/rims.

I just remove my rails to ha e them powder coat, the ends caps pops off, pull straight up, be careful not to break the tab holding it, two T-bolts, all four corner, the middle brackets slide it toward the front of expy, rail comes off

Is there a reason I couldn’t buy a third rail from a salvage yard or whatever and install it? Mostly a question for all those who’ve removed the racks and have seen how the rails move/remove. TIA.
