rough idle at startup

Ive noticed my 07 has a bit of a rough idle for about 10 sec after startup. I also get a gas smell coming from exhaust during that time. Any ideas as to whats wrong?

sounds like a sticking injector or a COP not firing for a short time. no check engine light?

Yes ive had a check engine light come off and on for a few months . When it comes on itll bring up code p0420. I just replaced the COPs about a year and a half ago. Could they start going out already?

it might be the oxygen sensor

that code usally means passenger side cat or the second or down stream o2 sensor. I doubt it has anything to do with your missing at idle. How many miles on your expy and when did you replace the plugs?

My expy has 106k miles on it. I replaced all COPs and plugs at 92k

I bought all motorcraft plugs but i cheaped outnon the COPs i bout a set of 8 from ebay for $90
