I live in NC , planning to buy an expedition need inputs on 4wd vs Rwd. primary purpose if for family and work commute.

Going back to the original question.....all the vehicles I’ve owned in the last 15 years or so, 3 Expeditions, AcuraNSX, Lexus 460, Lincoln, Ford Escape, Rad4 and now a 2019 Expedition have all had either four
Wheel drive, AWD, or both. Based on my driving habits,(wife, kids, vacations, and hunting) having AWD is a necessity. Four wheel drive is never a negative but not essential. As has been said a few times, unfortunately with the Expedition, in order to get AWD you have to pay for everything that comes (good and bad) with
4-wheel drive. That being the case, I’d go with the 4-wd
