Can getting an aftermarket shock improve handling without lowering the ride height? I'm trying to improve my handling, but don't want the truck any lower.

Absolutely. Changing shocks by themselves does nothing to the ride height, which is determined by the A-arms and springs.
Shocks are the first thing to be changed for a ride improvement, which I think you will find quite noticable. Kind of a basic rule is - cheap shocks = lousy ride, so don't skrimp on these.

Oops, I made an assumption. I checked Rancho's website and they stop @ '02 for both 2x & 4x.

Thanks Monsta for correcting me!

I am wondering if a phone call to Rancho would find a shock that fits? Often manufacturers are slow in updating their manuals.

I hope they will make some for the 03+ because I was really looking forward to getting these.

Are there any other shocks that are comparable that are made for 03+'s?
