Stuck in 4 wheel high

So 2 days ago I started getting a really bad popping sounds while driving. It was coming from what sounded and felt like under my feet. It would only make this sound when I was accelerating and RPM's about 2500.
I checked the u-joints, cv- shafts, bearings, fluids, ect. NOTHING !
Then I switched to 4 wheel high and POP ! Now its suck and will not shift out.
Any suggestions?

Mine does that while engaged. Had to pull a fuse after getting it back in 2x4 to keep it there.

sounds like the auto 4wd clutch is acting up
