So are these a waste of time? I read an article a while ago, I cant seem to dig it up, saying they basically do zip. Any input anyone? I had one given to me, but if it does nothing I'll pass on installing it....

From what I have read they do absolutely nothing other than add a whistling sound to the intake. Mostly for aesthetics than anything else. I don't think they hurt anything, so if it was free to you, put it in and see if you like it. I would not buy one though.

I'm sure that one of the manufacturers has some data that show an increase in power.
In the real world, I doubt that you'd feel any difference.
