I'm hoping there is someone on here that knows tire and wheels pretty good (and it would help if you are as crazy as I am). I found a great deal on a set of 20x12s my question is I have seen this same size rim with a 285x55 tire on it and I like the look would it be completely impossible to fit a 275/60 on a 12" rim? The tires I want only go up to the 275 on a 20" but if I have to find a different tire I guess i will start looking.

A quick search seems to show a few oddball tires in Europe in 275/60-R12, but nothing in the US or in any brand I've ever heard of. As an aside, do you realize this will drop the truck from an 8.5" ground clearance to just over 1.5" ground clearance? You will be scraping the bottom of your truck on the ground every 2 minutes.

No the rims are 12" wide if they even made a 12 in diameter rim in a 6x135 bolt pattern it wouldn't even fit on the truck because of the break rotor. So I'm wondering if a 275/60r20 will stretch onto a 12" wide rim.

Google "stretched tire" - is that a look you want? I'd never do it, especially on a 5,000 truck. I was told 9.5 wheels wouldn't work years ago for my Expedition, so my answer is to pass on this great deal you found. Without knowing the off-set, footwides would likely rub the inner suspension while sticking out stupid-style.

Not my taste, but here is a F150/Lincoln Mark LT on 20x12's. -44 offset and his front tires are skinnier than rear to MINIMIZE rubbing.

Here is an F150 with 20x12's, terra grapplers 305/55r20:

Yes the mark Lt is the stance I was looking at. the rims I found have that same -44 offset. And I know it's going to take some fab work to make it work right but I'm ok with that.

not true...back spacing is the key in rather or not it will hit the rotor...20s will fit with no probs on our trucks and width of 12" isnt a prob either...back spacing and clearance when he turns so he will need a lift

I've seen insane stretches on youtube, and this one don't seem like a big challenge though I would question how long will it last tbh. You just need to find a shop that can do this type of special install.

My Limited came with stock sized tires (275/50/20) and I didn't really like the width tbh on the stock wheels. A co-worker had 305s on his ram 1500 w/ stock 20s and it looked much more beefier and chunkier and I had decided to go w/ this size once the old set were worn down. Didn't bother in the end as I found a great deal on some 24s :headbang:. Good luck and pics if it did happen :favorites13:.

Thanks that's kinda the look I'm going for until I can get more lift on mine. I know it's not for everyone but I like that it's a little different. Do you happen to know how wide of a tire he has?

I like the look too but I'm uncertain on the tires I imagine normal 33/12.50r22 wouldn't be bad
