Trans leak

I have a 98 expi with a 4r100 trans it leaks at the short tube on the trans i know the tube is pressed in from the factory but it has since come loose any body else had this problem and if so what did you do to fix it. I am thinking of just using some silicone on it.

yes the small part about 4 inches long

there is should be an oring their probably needs a new one

No o-ring that is on the long part of the tube that goes into it. It is a press fit from the factory they tell you to do not remove during overhaul. I siliconed it today and i am going to let it set up for 48 hours before refilling trans

filled up the trans and put 150 miles on it no more leak nothing like an easy and cheap fix
